Breaking the Silence

Poetry in Black and White is an interdisciplinary art series exploring the tension between human creativity and algorithmically generated processes. The project centers on the question of how far machine systems can serve as catalysts for new forms of expression—and at what point creative responsibility and meaningful interpretation remain indispensably human.

The series comprises six strictly monochrome fine art motifs (direct print on aluminum Dibond). Color is deliberately omitted from the design concept to emphasize structure, contrast, and form, creating a universal, archetypal visual language. The work thrives on the polarity between black and white, light and dark, visibility and omission. At the heart of the series are six entities—BOWL, GALLIC, PEARL, SHAAK, PULS, and VIKING—poetically described, sonically interpreted, and visually composed.

Each physical piece is enhanced by a Vibrant Responsive Code: scanning it unlocks a cross-media experience featuring sound collages, spoken poetry, and moving images.

The creation of the series felt less like a design process and more like an archaeological excavation: a quiet back-and-forth between human intent and the precise logic of the machine— a process I describe as „binary poetry“.

BOWL

BOWL is a portal to lost moments and emotions still lingering in the dark. It preserves what would otherwise fade into oblivion – and brings it, for a fleeting instant, into the light.

BOWL does not show you itself, but what you have lost. It makes the invisible visible – fleeting memories that flare up like sparks, only to disappear again.

GALLIC is a silent guardian. She gathers the stories of darkness – the broken stars, the forgotten dreams. Her light does not shine to illuminate, but to remember.

GALLIC is a memory. She preserves what the darkness whispers, and writes the history of the universe – not with ink, but with time.

PEARL

PEARL gathers what quietly disappears: a smile, a whisper that never became a farewell. Her tendrils carry pearls in which these lost fragments of the world are preserved.

PEARL is a silent collector. She does not hold on to grand stories, but to the small things – the ones easily overlooked. The darkness tells her of emotions that drown in silence.

SHAAK

SHAAK collects no memories, no feelings. She devours fragments of souls, shattered thoughts, and sunken hopes. But she does not hunt. She waits. Her hunger is endless – yet once, she encountered something she could not hold: an idea, bright as a star.

SHAAK is a creature of desire. She consumes what drifts through the dark, but not all can be grasped. Hunger keeps her alive – but it never ends.

SHAAK – the insatiable maw.

PULS collects the rhythm of the world. She is no predator, but a quiet archivist of the universe. As she drifts, even silence becomes part of her eternal melody.

VIKING

VIKING draws evil from the darkness – rotted stories, poisoned dreams. She filters the venom, transforming it into something good. But the core of that evil remains within her, ready to be used as a weapon.

VIKING is no savior. She does not destroy the darkness – she keeps it. And if you come too close, she will release it – precise, and brutal.
